A Baltimore County Circuit Court judge is facing drunken-driving charges after he was arrested early Sunday in Harford County. Judge Lawrence R. Daniels, was pulled over for erratic driving at 1:30 a.m. while driving south on Route 152, said Sgt. Christina Presberry, spokeswoman of the Harford Sheriff?s Department.
Daniels failed a field sobriety test and was taken to Harford County?s southern precinct, where he blew a 0.9 on a breath test, Presberry said.
Under Maryland law, drivers can be charged with DUI if their blood alcohol level is 0.8 or higher.
Daniels was charged with three citations of driving under the influence and released without incident, the sheriff?s department said. If convicted, he could face up to two years in jail and a $2,500 fine.
Daniels will receive a summons in the mail telling him when to attend a court hearing, Presberry said.
