U.S. marshals are hoping the heat will help expose a man who’s wanted in two jurisdiction.
Jamar Stringer, 22, has a distinctive V-shaped tattoo on his upper right arm, and authorities hope someone will notice the marking in this hot weather and call in a tip, said Matt Burke, supervisory inspector of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force.
Stringer is wanted in Charles County for an armed assault, and in Howard County for burglary.
“Stringer is clearly a regional nuisance and he doesn’t seem to be doing bad things alone,” said Matt Burke, supervisory inspector for the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force. “We’d like to catch him before he hurts or steals from anyone else.”
Stringer, who is 5-foot-11 and 140 pounds, lived on Indian Head Highway in Accokeek, but has been known to hang out recently in Southeast Washington and Hyattsville.
Anyone with information should call 301-489-1717.
Readers of The Washington Examiner have provided information to federal authorities that have led to the arrest of 32 fugitives, including three captures last month: a fugitive accused of stealing from a disabled man, a D.C. teenager accused of killing of another teenager, and a Jamaican man wanted for possession of 20 pounds of marijuana.
