Va. woman sentenced in 2008 gang killing

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (AP) — A Newport News woman has been sentenced to nearly three years in federal prison for her role in a 2008 slaying that prosecutors say was part of gang activity.

Twenty-six-year-old Tayvonna Licorish was sentenced Thursday in federal court in Newport News to two years and nine months for misprision of a felony.
