Roger Marshall anticipates ‘two or three’ bills to cut discretionary spending

Sen. Roger Marshall (R-KS) claimed his experience negotiating the Big Beautiful Bill Act leads him to believe it will take “two or three” pieces of legislation to cut government spending further.

While Marshall expressed confidence that the Senate would pass the legislation on mandatory spending on Fox Business’s Mornings with Maria Bartiromo on Tuesday, he claimed a rescission package would need a different approach. President Donald Trump promised the majority of the spending policies would come through “one big, beautiful bill,” giving the legislation its name.
