Jailene Holton, 21, was fatally shot in the head after the shooter fired at least 15 rounds into the Philly Bar and Restaurant around 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Holton was celebrating with friends when she was shot, according to a report.

At least three men had been asked to leave and were escorted out of the bar earlier in the night after a disturbance, according to Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small.
“That’s when he walked, we believe, to a vehicle that was a black or dark pickup truck, and that’s when the 15 shots were fired,” Small said.
Following the shooting, authorities “found a 21-year-old female who was inside the bar laying on the floor suffering from a gunshot wound to her head. She was unresponsive,” according to Small.
Holton was rushed to a hospital, and doctors performed emergency surgery.
The young woman died of her injuries early Wednesday, the report noted.
“We don’t believe at all that she was the intended target,” Small said.
At least 15 bullet casings were recovered by authorities 200 feet away from the bar, according to the report.

“One of those bullets that went through the glass struck this 21-year-old female who was inside the bar with friends,” Small said.
The shooter fled, and no arrests have been made in relation to the shooting.
