Saturday Night Live took full advantage of the headlines from President Obama’s trip to Africa for its opening skit.

The skit featured Obama addressing his selfie picture with Danish Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt, the handshake with Raul Castro, and the fake sign language interpreter.
A character playing German Chancellor Angela Merkel arrived during the skit, demanding her own selfie with Obama, insisting that he owes it to after the NSA tapped her cell phone.
