It’s not exactly the most glamorous of pet causes but singer and “American Idol” winner Jordin Sparks will be heading to D.C. next week to take part in the National Transportation Safety Board’s Attentive Driving Forum. Sparks has been involved in the cause of distracted driving prevention for a couple of years now, coming to the District and holding court with Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood at Union Station back in 2010. She will be joined by race car driver Andy Pilgrim at the Tuesday event, which takes place at the NTSB Conference Center and Board Room. Fans of Sparks, Pilgrim or attentive driving are welcome to attend, though seating is limited. The forum starts at 8:30 a.m.
